This doll is a girl who actively absorbs passivity while mourning the active.
Her facial expression is full of sadness, youth, confusion, detachment, and faith.
Her raised left hand is not the main hand of the artist, symbolizing inconvenience.
The pinky finger sewn with beads represents restraints, promises, and passiveness.
Her expanded stomach represents pregnancy.
The white flowers elicit feelings of mourn, but also provide a nuance of purity and innocence.
The white, horned beetles represent control through phallic reason.
It’s a work that approaches the theme of “expression through conflicting narrative and story”.
