This piece was created with the motif of ‘Decorating your home for the Bon Festival and New Year’s Day with charms to ward off relatives’.

Originally, the work’s value was connected to its appearance, but as she was stitching it, a kind of feeling of conviction regarding its effectiveness sprang forth.

In fact, since completing the piece, she’s not been contacted by a single relative on her mother’s side, including cousins.

The most important element in this work was the recurrence of fear and anxiety, and the work producing the embodiment of the intent of denial.

By repeating actions inside the variety of fiction known as rules and molds, experiences are released from the spell of the individual.

Through that process, facial expressions receive a new nuance.

The odd yet light facial expressions worn make you think of mascots in an amusement park or a TV program’s character.

A beginning marked by a dark episode, and an appearance of light.

The front and rear complement one another depending on the size of the gap.

Magic solidifies the effect, while the piece is simultaneously separated from the artist as a piece of fiction.
